The HTM81 D4 boasts an impressive array of advanced technologies, including the Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top, a decoupled Continuum™ Cone midrange drive unit, and twin 200mm (8-in) Aerofoil™ bass cones.
Aerofoil™ Bass Cone: Our Aerofoil™ bass cone technology combines low mass with high stiffness, using a carbon-fiber skin and variable-profile foam core. The addition of the foam Anti-Resonance Plug further reduces distortion and delivers even cleaner bass.
Diamond Dome Tweeter: One of our most significant accomplishments over the past two decades, the ultra-stiff, supremely accurate Diamond Dome tweeter combines low mass, exceptional stiffness, and outstanding accuracy. Even 15 years after its introduction, it remains unparalleled in performance.
Aluminium Bass Pods: The HTM81 D4 features two Aerofoil™ bass cones mounted in twin solid aluminium bass pods, each clamped into an aluminium plate fixed to the stiffest part of its curved cabinet. These single-piece metal structures provide the ideal mechanical support for the powerful bass cones.
