Estelon - Aurelle - Centre Speaker

Estelon was founded in Tallinn, Estonia in 2010 by Alfred Vassilkov, a loudspeaker designer with decades of experience who wanted to build speakers that were simultaneously world-class acoustically and genuinely beautiful as objects in a room. The result is a range of loudspeakers whose curved, marble-based cabinets are unlike anything else in high-end audio — not as a stylistic statement, but because the curved, resonance-free enclosure is the engineering solution that Vassilkov believed produced the best sound. Every Estelon speaker is built by hand in Tallinn by a small team of craftspeople who treat each pair as a commission, not a production run.

ENGINEERING PHILOSOPHY

The fundamental engineering insight behind every Estelon design is that a loudspeaker cabinet should be acoustically inert and mechanically stable — and that achieving this with conventional materials and rectangular shapes requires compromises that ultimately colour the sound. Estelon's curved enclosures, constructed from a proprietary composite material with a marble base, eliminate internal standing waves and provide a mechanical grounding that allows the drivers — sourced from the finest European manufacturers — to operate with complete freedom. The crossover networks are point-to-point wired, using components chosen for their sonic character rather than their specification alone. What you hear from an Estelon speaker is not the cabinet. It is the music.

WHY THE AUDIO TAILOR CARRIES ESTELON

We carry Estelon because it answers a question that matters to a growing number of our clients: why should a world-class loudspeaker have to be hidden away or apologised for aesthetically? An Estelon speaker belongs in a beautiful room. It is also, by any measure, among the finest speakers in the world.

Estelon AURELLE Centre

Seamless Dialogue. Immersive Realism.

The Estelon AURELLE Centre is engineered to deliver natural, intelligible dialogue and immersive realism in high-performance home theatre systems. Designed to integrate seamlessly with Estelon’s A Series loudspeakers, it ensures perfect tonal continuity across the front soundstage for a coherent, cinematic listening experience.

With its refined aesthetics and compact form, the AURELLE Centre offers flexible placement options while maintaining the sculptural elegance expected of Estelon designs.

Design Philosophy: Designed for Real Rooms

At Estelon, loudspeakers are created to work with the room rather than against it. Every surface, material, and furnishing influences sound, particularly in home cinema environments where clarity and balance are critical.

The AURELLE Centre’s sealed-box design makes it compact, placement-friendly, and easy to integrate into a wide range of systems. This approach ensures fast, accurate bass response and effortless blending with left and right speakers, preserving realism across dialogue and effects.

Advanced Cabinet Technology

The AURELLE Centre cabinet is formed from a thermoformed mineral-filled composite, shaped using advanced vacuum moulding techniques. Its curved geometry and non-parallel internal surfaces suppress standing waves and reduce internal resonances.

  • Rigid, acoustically inert enclosure

  • Advanced internal bracing for structural stability

  • Precisely placed natural and synthetic damping materials

Despite weighing just 10 kg, the cabinet remains dynamically stable, allowing the drivers to operate with clarity, precision, and low distortion across the full frequency range.

Driver Configuration & Placement

The Estelon AURELLE Centre features a carefully matched driver array optimised for dialogue clarity and tonal realism:

  • 2 Ă— 132 mm Egyptian Papyrus fibre midrange drivers from SB Acoustics Satori, delivering clean, dynamic midrange reproduction with low distortion

  • 25 mm textile dome tweeter from the Scan-Speak Illuminator series, mounted in a custom elliptical waveguide for smooth high-frequency response and wide, controlled dispersion

Each driver operates within its own optimised internal chamber, reducing vibration and eliminating colouration. This configuration ensures voices remain natural and intelligible while maintaining seamless integration with music and effects.

Precision Crossover Design

The AURELLE Centre crossover network is engineered for accuracy, transparency, and consistency.

  • Second-order crossover slope

  • Crossover point: 2.2 kHz

Premium components include air-core inductors, Auricap capacitors, and Mundorf bifilar resistors. The crossover is hand-assembled using point-to-point wiring, with short signal paths to preserve micro-detail and minimise loss. Internal cabling is supplied by Kubala-Sosna for maximum signal purity.

Each crossover is thoroughly tested both electrically and through critical listening to ensure it meets Estelon’s performance standards.
