Marantz NR1608 - Pre Loved
The Marantz NR1608 is a compact, ultra-slim 7.2-channel network AV receiver designed to deliver high-end home theater performance while fitting neatly beneath modern flat-panel TVs or inside shallow AV furniture. Despite its slender form, it packs a full suite of modern AV features.
Design & Form Factor
With a height of just ~105 mm, the NR1608 was engineered to fit into tight spaces where taller receivers won’t. Its outward simplicity belies a full complement of audio and video capabilities.
Amplification & Audio Performance
Every one of its seven channels is driven by discrete power amplifier topology, allowing for consistent performance across speaker channels. In typical two-channel stereo use, it delivers 50 W per channel into 8 Ω at low distortion. The NR1608 is also capable of supporting immersive 3D sound formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, making it suitable for modern surround setups.
Video & HDMI Support
The NR1608 supports full 4K/60 Hz pass-through with support for 4:4:4 color, HDR, Dolby Vision, and HLG. Legacy analog and SD/HD sources can be upscaled to 4K via HDMI output. Moreover, it includes 8 HDMI inputs (1 on the front panel) and a single HDMI output with HDCP 2.2 compliance, making it well equipped for contemporary sources.
Streaming & Connectivity
It incorporates HEOS for wireless multi-room audio, allowing you to stream music across various HEOS devices. It also supports Bluetooth, AirPlay, and online streaming services (Spotify, TIDAL, etc.). For local media, the unit supports high-resolution file types like DSD, FLAC, ALAC, and WAV over USB and network sources.
Room Calibration & DSP
The built-in Audyssey MultEQ system helps optimize speaker levels, distances, and EQ for your listening environment. Additional processing tools like Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume help maintain balanced sound across different volume levels.
